Ar-We-Va used a 21-0 run from late in the 1st quarter into the 2nd quarter to grab a lead they wouldn’t give up.  Paton Churdan ran out to a 7-2 lead but went cold and Ar-We-Va created turnovers and were balanced in their attack. Seven different Ar-We-Va players scored in the 1st half and they hit four 3’s. Paton Churdan wouldn’t give up, rallying from down 18 to 11 before Ar-We-Va took over down the stretch. Will Ragaller led the way with 14 points for Ar-We-Va while Kyelar Cleveland finished with 10. Cooper Kock pulled down 16 rebounds. Paton Churdan got 12 points from Joe Carey and 9 from Bradyn Smith who added 9 rebounds. Connor Brus had 10 rebounds and 4 steals in the loss.   Ar-We-Va moves to 4-8 overall and 1-6 in the Rolling Valley. They travel to Boyer Valley on Friday. Paton Churdan drops to 3-8 overall and 1-7 in the Rolling Valley. They host Glidden Ralston on KIKD 106.7 on Friday.

Carroll had one of those nights and suffered their first loss of the season after moving to number 1 in the rankings on Monday. The Tigers trailed 23-11 after the 1st quarter and were down 32-18 at half. Karter Lein and Colby Vincent each had 10 points and Kelin Jones added 9. Carroll falls to 4-1 in the Raccoon River Conference and 6-1 overall.  The Tigers host Carlisle on Friday on KCIM.

Skyler Schultes had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to help Audubon improve to 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the Western Iowa Conference. The Wheelers got going early and led 15-7 after the 1st quarter and were up 28-19 at half. The defense was sharp with 13 steals as Marcus Olsen and Ethan Klocke along with Schultes all had 3.  They allowed only 10 points in the 2nd half.  The Wheelers will be on the road Friday at Tri Center.

South Central Calhoun pulled away in the 4th quarter, winning their 5th straight, moving to 9-3 on the season. The Titans led by 3 after 3 before scoring 31 points in the 4th quarters. SCC scored 19 or more points in each of the last 3 quarters after just 13 in the 1st quarter. The Titans made 20-25 from the free throw line. Zane Neubaum did it again scoring 40 points on 13-21 from the field. Neubaum had 29 and 30 points in games last week. Neubaum did a lot of his damage off his defense where he made 11 steals. Cole Corey had 11 points and Joshua Dietrich and Landon Schleisman each had 10 points, Dietrich added 9 rebounds. The Titans will travel to Alta Aurelia on Friday.

Glidden Ralston nearly snapped their 5 game losing streak but came up just short and fell to 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the Rolling Valley Conference. The Wildcats got 14 points from Nathan Brant and 13 points, 5 assists from Brigham Daniel. Mason Janssen led them with 7 rebounds. The Wildcats will look to bounce back on Friday at Paton Churdan on KIKD 106.7.

Amos Rasmussen had his best game of the season scoring 23 points to go with 6 rebounds and 3 steals as the Wolves rallied to win. IKM-Manning was down 50-38 after the 3rd before outscoring the Eagles 25-8 in the 4th. Colby Keller added 9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, Parker Behrens added 8 points and 10 rebounds while Kyler Rasmussen scored 8 points and had 4 assists. The Wolves led 18-15 after the 1st quarter but trailed at half by 3. They improve to 5-5 overall and 5-3 in the Western Iowa Conference. The Wolves will host Riverside on Thursday night with the game being moved from Friday.
