Kuemper took control in the 3rd inning and put the game away in the 7th inning when they scored 6 runs. The Knights did their damage with 8 hits. Kyle Berg led the attack with 3 hits including a triple. Berg drove in 4 runs. Truman Haukap added 2 hits and 2 RBI along with scoring 2 runs. Will Schenkelberg was 1-1 with a double. Luke Hicks drove in 2 runs while scoring 3 times.

Austin Tigges gave up just 1 hit in 6 innings while striking out 9. He picks up the win. Cal Wanninger came in and pitched the 7th and struck out 2.

The Knights improve to 4-4 overall. They will host their invitational on Saturday and play Carroll High at 10:00 and Pocahontas Area at 3:00.

Carroll lost to Winterset for the second time this season. The first time they struggled to hit. Friday they hit the ball hard but only had 4 hits. There were several hard hit balls that were at the defense. The biggest issue for Carroll was the defense. They had been solid all season but had 7 errors against the Huskies. Winterset scored in four of the five inning and put it away with a 4-run 5th inning.

Jack Troutman scored on an error in the 3rd and then had an RBI double in the 4th. The loss drops them to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the Raccoon River Conference.

Ar-We-Va traveled to CAM for an early afternoon game on Friday due to a chance of storms and dropped to 0-5 on the season. The Rockets were held to 1 hit with Damon Ehlers doubling.

The Cougars scored 4 runs in the 2nd and added 5 in the 3rd  to build their lead.

Ar-We-Va will look for their first win in Woodbine on Monday.

The Wheelers bounced back from a tough outing on Thursday with a big road win on Friday moving to 5-4 on the season. Their bats got going as they picked up 13 hits. The biggest thing that made Coach Matt Wilder happy was how hard they hit the ball. The Wheelers had four doubles and two triples. Of the 14 runs scored they had 11 RBI.

Marcus Olsen was 4-4 with a triple, 2 RBI and 4 runs scored, Gavin Smith went 3-4 with a double, triple and 4 RBI. Ethan Klocke added a pair of hits including a double and drove in 1. Joel Klocke had a team high 3 steals as the Wheelers stole 7 bases.

The Wheelers used three guys on the hill with Marcus Olsen and Aiden Alt each going 2 innings and Eric Hermansen pitching 3. Hermansen got the win as the three combined to for five strikeouts while giving up 1 hit and 5 runs. They did walk 11.

Audubon will host AHSTW on Monday on 93.7 KKRL.

The Wildcats are playing without a few players due to injury and the defense struggled early with several errors which helped the Tigers build a 11-0 lead by the 3rd inning.

Glidden Ralston picke up a pair of hits with Jared Free and Caden Smith nabbing those. Free had 2 RBI and Smith added an RBI.

The loss drops them to 1-4. They host Exira-EHK Monday.

The Raiders had 11 hits and drove in 12 of the 17 runs. They put together two big innings scoring 9 times in the 2nd and 5 more in the 6th to end the game early. West Bend Mallard came out strong as the Raiders struggled early defensively. The Raiders trailed 3-0 heading into the bottom of the 1st. The scored 1 run in the 1st before exploding in the 2nd.

Quintin Ludwig, Griffin O’Neill and Maxwel Jessen all had 2 hits. Ludwig added 2 RBI, O’Neill had 3 RBI and Derek Aschinger finished with 2. The Raiders were walked 11 times and were hit by a pitch 6 times. Jessen picked up the win on the hill going 4 innings, allowing 7 hits and 4 runs.

The win improves the Raiders to 4-2. They will travel to Ridge View on Monday.
