Frances Morenz, 83, died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Lake City with Pastor Paul Ferderer officiating with burial in Lake City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.
Frances Lorraine Morenz was born on August 23, 1936 in Lake City, Iowa to Frank and Gladys (Hendricks) McIntire. She was a 1954 graduate of Lake City High School. On December 19, 1956 Frannie was united in marriage to Dwight Morenz in Lake City and they celebrated 63 wonderful years together. Throughout Frannie’s life she worked at Lake City State Bank, McIlrath Chiropractic, Lincoln
Elementary (cook), baby sat and was a volunteer at Shady Oaks Care Center. She was also the Lion’s Club Citizen of the Year.
Frannie is survived by her husband Dwight of Lake City; daughter Elma (Delroy) DeVries of Lake City; son Neil of Rockwell City; grandchildren Clint, Shelby, Colten and Alli; great-grandchildren Marcus and Gabe; and brother Dwight McIntire of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Doris Wilhelm.
