Coralie Jane Eifler of Carroll

Coralie Jane Eifler, age 86, of Carroll passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.
A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Schott officiating.  Casket bearers will be Coralie’s grandchildren.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Coralie was born on April 14, 1934 in Carroll, IA, and was the daughter of Charley E. and Alva Ione (Guy) Ellsworth.  She grew up in Carroll and graduated from Carroll High School in 1952.  She was married to Eugene “Geno” Eifler on July 8, 1953 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll by Msgr. Frank Greteman.  Coralie worked as an admissions clerk at St. Anthony Regional Hospital for 26 years retiring in 1999.  In retirement she did volunteer work at Fairview Elementary School in the Foster Grandparents Program and St. Anthony Nursing Home with activities.  She enjoyed reading, cross stich, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and entertaining her family on the holidays.
Coralie is survived by her children and their families: son Mike Eifler (Mindy) of Carroll, daughter Sherri Fee (Kev) of Marion, IA, Brian Eifler (Kelli) of Hayden Lake, ID, Chuck Eifler (Jenni) of Port Orchard, WA, Scott Eifler (Alane) of De Soto, KS, and Karen Gehling (Terry) of Carroll; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Judy Campbell of Eagle Grove, IA, and Virgene Behrens of Carroll; a brother-in-law Joe Eifler of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Coralie was preceded in death by her parents Charley and Alva Ellsworth; her mother and father-in-law Ignatious and Emma Eifler; her sister Dorothy Smith (Paul), three brothers: George, Jack and Buddy; and her husband Eugene “Geno” Eifler in 2008.
