Deloris Krause of Lake City

Deloris Krause, 87, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Swan Place in Carroll.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City with Pastor Roy Karlen officiating. Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery with fellowship and refreshments to follow at Woodlawn Church.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.
Deloris Louise (McChesney) Krause was born on October 6, 1931 in Rockwell City, Iowa to Millard and Wilma (Lee) McChesney.  She graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1950 and then on November 6, 1950 she married August “George” Krause at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  Deloris was a farm wife and she also worked as a telephone operator and as a dietary worker at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.  She was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church.
Deloris is survived by her daughters Lynnett Sue (Tom) Baer of Waukee and Lisa (Dale) Krause-Reinert of Storm Lake; grandchildren Amanda Christiansen, Chris (Tiffany) Green, Max Baer, Landon (Brittany) Krause, Ashley Moller, and Amber (Nate) Ullom; great-grandchildren David Moller, Garrett Krause, Claire Green, Adalyn Green, Wyatt Krause, Gabriel Christiansen, Kyler Ullom and Kenzie Ullom; and sister Barbara Drew of Rockwell City.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband August George, brother Millard McChesney III, sisters Donnabelle Neagle and Nadine McChesney, and son-in-law Stephen Burley.
