A ghoulishly good time can be had by joining in or becoming a sponsor of the 5K Monster Dash at Swan Lake State Park. Registration is open for children and adults alike for the Saturday, Oct. 24 fun run/walk that will start from the Southside Shelter House and Trail at 8:45 a.m. for the Lil’ Frankensteins and 9 a.m. for the rest. The fee is $30 for adults and $20 for children six to 12, those five and under can participate free of charge. T-shirts will be guaranteed only for those registering prior to Oct. 10. Registration will close Oct. 17. There are still sponsorship opportunities available as well, with a Spooktacular Zone package at $500 and an Event/T-Shirt package at $100.
