Republican Senate District 6 Candidate Endorsed By Two Iowa PACs

Iowa Senate District 6 Republican candidate, Craig Williams of Manning, has received endorsements from two Iowa Political Action Committees (PACs). The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) PAC designated Williams a “Friend of Agriculture” as he campaigns in Carroll, Audubon, Sac, Buena Vista and portions of Crawford Counties. Williams says he is thrilled to be recognized for his years-long involvement in Ag. “Agriculture has a significant economic impact, reaching well beyond the district’s 1.4 million acres of farmland,” he says. Erik Oberbroeckling, IFBF PAC Chair, says this designation goes to those who support issues directly impacting Iowa’s agricultural economy. “With one in every five Iowans employed in agriculture and ag-related industries, it is essential to have strong advocates for agriculture representing Iowa,” he says. Williams has also been named a “Friend of Iowa Business” by the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s (ABI) PAC. He was identified as the candidate best able to advance a pro-growth and pro-business agenda and ensure job growth and prosperity for Iowans. “The Legislature and Governor have made tremendous strides in advancing pro-jobs policies the last few years,” says ABI President, Mike Ralston. “It’s important that Iowa builds on these policies by ensuring pro-business majorities are elected to the Iowa House and Senate.” Williams says having his 30 years as a small business owner recognized by this nonpartisan designation is exciting. “Strong businesses create healthy economies and good job opportunities for everyone,” Williams says. Williams is facing Democrat, C.J. Petersen of Templeton, in the Nov. 3 election. Absentee voting for the election opens on Monday, Oct. 5.
