A recent structural survey at the Glidden Wellness Center found repairs are needed at the building to prevent a more costly renovation in the future. According to City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, they were contacted by the owner of the shop connected to the southwest side of the facility about noticeable brick deterioration in a shared wall. The city hired an engineer to examine the site and determined a water leak, likely from the roof, had caused the mortar to begin eroding. Peterson says they are not sure how much the repairs will cost, but the city has started searching for a contractor to handle the project. Due to the damaged area being a part of a shared wall, the cost will be split between the two parties.
