The Carroll Chamber of Commerce was presented a substantial donation from the Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG) today (Wednesday). REG General Manager, Myron Danzer, and REG Plant Manager, Bill Ritchie, delivered a $5,000 check to the Chamber’s staff and board in recognition of the tremendous work they do for the businesses and people of Carroll and Carroll County. According to Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, the need from local businesses for assistance and guidance is larger than usual this year due to the pandemic, and the Chamber has been working tirelessly to ensure each one receives the necessary individual attention and support. Just like those businesses, the Chamber of Commerce has also felt the financial impact of the pandemic due to the cancellation of many of its annual events. REG’s generous donation helps to ensure the Chamber will continue providing the services local businesses and residents have come to expect.
