One Accident And A Couple Of Local Arrests Reported Over The Weekend

Over the course of the past weekend, Carroll Police officers assisted at one accident scene and reported some notable arrests. The accident occurred at approximately 8:05 a.m. Friday at 1st and Carroll Streets. Seventeen-year-old Noah Heuton of Carroll was eastbound on 1st Street in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am when he struck a parked 2002 Ford Escape. The impact caused disabling damage to the Heuton vehicle. No injuries were reported and Heuton was cited for failure to maintain control. Another Carroll man was arrested at approximately 5:18 p.m. Friday on a charge of third-degree sexual abuse. It is alleged that 18-year-old Calvin Keith Kienast had sexual contact with a 13-year-old victim in June of 2019. Kienast has been released on his own recognizance. And at approximately 11:11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Carroll man. A 2006 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 37-year-old Tyler Hunter, was pulled over and a field sobriety test was administered. Hunter recorded a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .197, nearly two and a half times the legal limit. He has been charged with third-offense operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
