No serious injuries were reported in a single-vehicle rollover accident north of Templeton Wednesday morning. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Ivy Avenue near the intersection with 270th Street. Authorities say a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 29-year-old Scott Nathaniel Belew of Audubon, was traveling north on Ivy when he lost control and entered the east ditch. The vehicle rolled once, coming to rest on its top. There was an estimated $1,600 in damage to the Pontiac. Belew was cited for failure to use a safety belt, failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to maintain control. He was also issued a summons to appear for driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor.
