As the City of Carroll continues to work toward a Sept. 8 vote on a $13.38 million renovation and expansion to the Recreation Center, more opportunities for community engagement have been planned. There will be a second Coffee with the Mayor, currently scheduled for Saturday morning, Aug. 29, at 9 a.m. at the Carroll Rec Center. Mayor, Dr. Eric Jensen, as well as other members of the city staff, will be on hand to discuss the proposed project, the funding streams through a combination of General Obligation (GO) bonds and Local Option Sales Tax (L.O.S.T.) bonds, share schematic drawings, and answer any questions Carroll residents may have. This is to be an informal discussion with coffee and donuts provided. For those who have questions or would like more information, contact Parks and Rec Director, Jack Wardell, at 792-1000.
