New Way, Inc. Acquires World’s First Auger-Driven Organics Refuse Truck

Scranton-based New Way Trucks, Inc. has announced the acquisition of ROTO PAC, the world’s first auger-driven organics refuse collection truck. New Way has been the global distributor, with the exception of Canada, for Ginove’s ROTO PAC since its introduction in 2015. New Way had been in charge of distribution and sales as well as parts, engineering and field services support to the ROTO PAC dealer network and end-users. “We are excited to be adding ROTO PAC and its complete product lineup to the New Way family,” says CEO, Mike McLaughlin. “We have partnered with Ginove on developing ROTO PAC into the state-of-the-art product it has become today, and this acquisition will provide our team with firsthand access for continued innovation. It is the next natural step in ROTO PAC’s development.” New Way will manufacture the truck in their Booneville, Miss. facility. In a separate transaction, New Way is partnering with Durabec, a Quebec-based manufacturer of refuse equipment, to build products for the Canadian market, thus helping expand their footprint in that country. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at New Way, Don Ross, says they are excited about this partnership with Durabec, who has a proven track record and a great reputation in their market.
