As they celebrate the first anniversary of the Wound Care Clinic, Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) is pleased to announce they have received the RestorixHealth’s Center of Excellence award. “This achievement reaffirms the quality of care that Manning Regional’s Wound Care Clinic provides its patients every day,” says CEO, Linn Block. “We are proud to be a recipient of an award that recognizes the hard work and dedication of our staff.” Recipients meet or exceed national wound care quality benchmarks over a six month timespan and include: healing outcomes, assessment and care processes, debridement, vascular assessment and patient safety. They must also post a patient satisfaction rate of 96 percent or higher. MRHC is in an elite group, one of only 10 selected to receive this award out of the 225 clinics evaluated. In the past year, the wound care clinic has treated 69 patients with varying degrees of wounds. The clinic is dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes and preventing lower limb loss in those patients with non-healing wounds. They coordinate traditional and advanced therapies and techniques proven to reduce healing time and improve healing rates.
