The Lake View City Council met last week for a planning and goal setting session and have identified what they believe are the community’s priorities for the coming years. Prior to the Jan. 13 meeting, Administrator, Scott Peterson, provided a list of potential projects and initiatives to the council and asked them to rank each based on their importance.
The results from the ranking were tallied, and Peterson says it appears the council was of the same mind when it comes to their short and long-term plans.
Peterson notes the planning and goal setting session generally does not focus on specifics like schedules or funding sources, but it does helps city staff begin the process of turning those ideas into reality. He says their next step will be to determine how these concepts fit into future budgets. The city council’s next meeting is Monday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Lake View Municipal Building.
