Know Where To Go In Carroll County On Caucus Night, Monday, Feb. 3

The Iowa caucuses are just one week away now, and the chairs for Carroll County’s Democrat and Republican parties are working to ensure everyone who wants to take part knows where to report next Monday night. Craig Williams, with the Carroll County Republican Party, says this year it is easier than ever to figure out where your precinct will be caucusing. Anyone in the western half of the county and residents within the city of Carroll—precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12—will go to Fairview Elementary School at 525 E. 18th Street in Carroll. Those in the eastern half of the county—precincts 6, 8, 10 or 13—will meet at the Kruger Shelter House, 223 W. 7th Street, in Glidden. Links to maps of the precincts can be found below. Chair Peter Leo says Democratic caucus goers for Carroll ward 1 will meet at the Carroll High School Auditorium. Ward 2 will be at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, ward 3 at Adams Elementary School in the gymnasium and ward 4 will caucus at the Swan Lake State Park Conservation Education Center. Precinct 5 will report to the Breda American Legion Hall. Precinct 6 is at the Lidderdale Community Building and precinct 7 will be at the Arcadia Legion Hall. Democrats caucusing from precinct 8 will be gathering at the Glidden Public Library meeting room, precinct 9 at the Halbur Community Center and precinct 10 at the Templeton Center. Precinct 11 will meet at the Manning VFW Hall, precinct 12 at the Templeton Center and precinct 13 at the Coon Rapids Municipal Utilities building. In addition to voting for presidential candidates, Republicans will elect persons to the county central committee. We will bring you more from Williams and Leo on caucus night, Monday, Feb. 3, in upcoming newscasts.
