A Jefferson Police Officer has requested forgery and theft warrants on a Des Moines man following an investigation initiated on Jan. 10. On that date, a Jefferson resident had reported a recent house guest had cashed numerous checks totaling $4,761 from a Clive bank account without their permission. The warrants requested for 39-year-old James Edward Inman included eight counts of forgery and one count of second-degree theft, all class D felonies, and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony.
