Greene County Authorities Open A Burglary Investigation And Respond To Car/Deer Accident

As Iowans continue to shelter in place and restrict their movements in accordance with the recommendations made by Gov. Kim Reynolds, some law enforcement agencies are seeing a decrease in activity at their level as well. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports only a few issues over the weekend, including the opening of an investigation into a burglary. They received the report about the incident in the 500 block of South 13th Street in Grand Junction at approximately 12:17 p.m. last Friday. They also responded to a car/deer accident that morning, at approximately 7:07 a.m., west of Jefferson on U.S. Highway 30 near J Avenue. Forty-seven-year-old Heather Mueggenberg of Glidden struck the deer, causing an estimated $7,000 in damages to the 2017 Hyundai Tucson she was driving.
