Gov. Reynolds Orders Flags To Half-Staff In Honor Of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Iowa Gov., Kim Reynolds, has ordered all flags in the state lowered to half-staff in honor and remembrance of Associate U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Flags are to remain lowered until her interment. “Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dedicated her life to passionately serving her country through the law,” Reynolds says. “From caring for her family while working her way through law school to reaching the highest court in our land, she blazed a trail that inspires others to answer the call to serve. Her life of service deserves the utmost respect and admiration.” The governor’s order has been issued in conjunction with that of President Donald Trump. Flags will be at half-staff on the State Capitol Building, flag displays at the Capitol Complex and on public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state. Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly flags at half-staff for the same length of time.
