One of the final segments of the ongoing paving project on Grant Road scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) has been delayed. According to Public Works Director, Randy Krauel, the contractor, Fort Dodge Asphalt Co., contacted the city today (Thursday) to notify them of a mechanical breakdown at their asphalt plant. Due to this issue, the paving planned on Grant Road from the Middle Raccoon River Bridge to the Union Pacific Railroad crossing will not occur. The City of Carroll is working with the company and businesses affected by the project to reschedule a date for paving. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more information once that has been set.
