It is estimated there will be 5,000 of Iowa’s best dancers from 254 high schools and 24 colleges sharing their talents and competing for awards this weekend at the 2020 Iowa State Dance Team Championships. Iowa PBS will be providing two hours of live programming on Saturday, Jan. 25 beginning at 7 p.m. They will showcase highlights of all winning routines along with backstage action from the event as they follow the Clayton Ridge High School dance team. This group has earned a top academic award with a collective 4.0 grade point average. They will also talk with Pella Forte High School and University of Iowa dancer, Holly Reimer, who has achieved her dream of becoming a professional dancer. The show will then be rebroadcast at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. The feature can also be found at www.iowapbs.org.
