Carroll Woman Arrested For Allegedly Harboring A Fugitive

A Carroll woman has been charged in District Court for Carroll County for allegedly harboring an out-of-state fugitive. According to Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, they received information from Illinois law enforcement indicating 22-year-old Deamontae Hunter, who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violations, could be in the region. On multiple occasions, officers contacted a known associate, 22-year-old Passion Faint, at her residence in the 500 block of East 18th Street inquiring about Hunter’s whereabouts. Faint repeatedly advised officers Hunter was not in her apartment. At approximately 10:10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, he was taken into custody at Faint’s home and transported to the Carroll County jail. He remains in custody and is awaiting extradition back to Illinois. Faint was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 11 and charged with accessory after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was released from custody after appearing before a magistrate. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 5.
