The 17 members of Beta Sigma Phi, Rho Gamma chapter, a professional women’s sorority in Carroll, recently presented $3,000 in proceeds from the Putt 4 a Purpose event to the St. Anthony Regional Cancer Center. The fourth annual Putt 4 a Purpose had many area businesses sponsoring miniature golf holes with attendees paying to play. “Everyone in our group has been touched by cancer in one way or another,” says event chairperson, Summer Parrott. “It was an easy decision, this cancer center is so important, not only to us, but to the community and our region in western Iowa.” The $16.5 million 21,000 square foot facility on the St. Anthony Regional Hospital campus is slated to open in December of this year.
