A Manning businessman, Gene Steffes with Arrow Pallets LLC, has put his heart on display as a sign of gratitude to all of those pulling together, yet staying apart, in the efforts to flatten the COVID-19 curve. Another Manning staple, David Kusel, who is known for his photographic cataloguing of important current and historical events for Manning and the surrounding area, has posted images of Steffes’ efforts on his webpage. With the help of Troy Grabill from the Manning Municipal Light Office, Steffes not only constructed numerous signs to line the side of 6th Street, he also put a giant lighted heart on a power pole near his business.
