WIN Acquires Arcadia Telephone And Monarc Technologies

Western Iowa Networks (WIN) has announced that as of Friday, Nov. 1, they have taken over operations of Arcadia Telephone and Monarc Technologies of Denison. Although Arcadia customers will not see any immediate changes, WIN has plans to build a fiberoptic network throughout the exchange. Completion is estimated to take place within two years. In Denison, Monarc customers will gain internet speed tiers of 100Mbps, 500Mbps and 1Gbps. WIN also plans to launch digital television service in Denison in early 2020. Staffing at the Denison office will remain the same. “We are very excited to have the staff join the WIN family as they will bring not only their knowledge of the industry, but more importantly, the relationships they have built with the customers of Arcadia and Monarc,” says WIN CEO, Jeff Roiland. “We look forward to them growing with the company and helping to create continuity for our customers in those exchanges.” Hours in Denison will not change, 8 a.m. to noon then 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Arcadia office will be a payment location and the drop box will still be serviced. WIN is the parent company of Breda Telephone Corporation, Westside Independent Telephone Company, Prairie Telephone Company and Tele-Services, Ltd.
