Most residents in Willey are without water as the West Central Iowa Rural Water Association (WCIRWA) works to repair a water main break in town. Officials say service will be disconnected for most of today (Thursday), and as a result, pressure will be significantly reduced or nonexistent for homes and businesses. The WCIRWA notes a boil order will be activated as soon as service is restored. All water from the system used by Willey residents for drinking, cooking, ice making and other consumption should be boiled for at least one minute before use. Bottled water may also be used as an alternative. Additional notification will be given once the order is lifted. Questions can be directed to the association at 712-655-2534.
