A Remsen woman reported missing over the weekend has been located. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) says 27-year-old Nicole Trometer contacted authorities at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and informed them she was in Vermont. At approximately 1:20 p.m., the Franklin County, Vt. Sheriff’s Office positively identified Trometer using her driver’s license and advised Iowa officials she was in good health. Trometer was reported missing on Monday, Sept. 1 and last seen Sunday morning with 34-year-old Daniel Kittredge. She informed law enforcement she had traveled willingly with Kittredge. DCI has closed the missing person investigation.
