Two Sac City Men Accused Of Stealing Handgun Face Charges Following Several Month Investigation

Two Sac City men have been charged following a several month long investigation into a residential burglary earlier this year. The Sac City Police Department and prosecutors filed trial information against Ethan Sorenson and Kylin Kruckenberg on Monday in Sac County District Court. Both individuals have been charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Authorities allege the pair broke into a home in the 1300 block of Maple Street on Jan. 8 and stole a .40-caliber Springfield Armory handgun. The suspects remain in custody on a $22,000 bond, and their arraignment hearings have been scheduled for Monday, April 29 in the Sac County Courthouse. If found guilty of the charges, they face a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison and more than $16,000 in fines.
