The Sac County Secondary Roads Department has closed two bridges in the northwest portion of the county for construction work and repairs on nearby roads. The first bridge is located roughly midway between Schaller and Arthur on 270th. The roadway will be closed to thru traffic while the bridge is being replaced. However, nearby residents will still be allowed to travel in the area. The second bridge, which is positioned about two miles north of Odebolt on 310th Street, is also closed to thru traffic during bridge abutment repair work. Officials encourage drivers to use extra caution when driving in or near any construction zones for your safety and for the safety of on-site crews. A date has not been set for the completion of the projects, as it will be largely dependent on the weather. For more information, contact the Sac County Engineer’s Office at 712-662-7687.
