Trial Dates Scheduled For Individuals Accused Of Stealing From Two Carroll Businesses

The trial dates for four people accused of attempting to steal hundreds of dollars in products from two local businesses have been set. According to Carroll County District Court records, 28-year-old Meggan Anne Richards of Des Moines and 28-year-old Justin Earl St. Pierre of Creston allegedly attempted to steal nearly $500 in goods from the Carroll Bomgaars on March 27. Richards and St. Pierre, along with 28-year-old William Raymone Fees of Altoona and 29-year-old Melodie Jane Erickson, were arrested by the Carroll Police Department and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on May 26 while attempting to steal from the Carroll Walmart. Richards and St. Pierre each face one count of third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor, and two counts of fourth-degree theft, serious misdemeanors. Fees and Erickson have both been charged with fourth-degree theft. Fees’ trial is scheduled to begin Aug. 13 at the Carroll County Courthouse. Erickson’s trial will begin on Sept. 12 and Richards’ and St. Pierre’s starts Sept. 17.
