Three Des Moines Residents Face Drug Charges After Traffic Stop In Carroll Early Wednesday Morning

Three Des Moines residents face drug charges following a traffic stop in Carroll early Wednesday morning. At approximately 12:21 a.m., an officer with the Carroll Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop on a 2009 Ford Fusion, driven by 21-year-old Jameesha Allen, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Grant Road. She was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and possession of a controlled substance, both serious misdemeanors. Allen’s passengers, 21-year-old Alexus Crandall and 21-year-old Taijah Burton, were also taken into custody and transported to the Carroll County jail. They also have been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
