The first in a series of surveys begins this weekend in Rockwell City. On Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11, representatives from Simmering-Cory, the company contracted to complete the survey, will be going door-to-door to ask a few questions. Results of the survey will help community officials determine if Rockwell City is eligible to receive grant funding for their wastewater treatment facility and the creation of a housing rehabilitation program. The questionnaire is estimated to last about five minutes and will be conducted at randomly selected properties in town. Participation in the survey is optional, answers will be kept confidential and no personally identifiable information will be collected. A second round of a surveys will also take place on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25. Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact the Rockwell City offices at 712-297-7041.
