Storm Lake And Buena Vista County Authorities Bust Major Drug Operation Seizing Drugs Valued At More Than $280,000

 

Storm Lake and Buena Vista authorities have confiscated drugs with a street value of more than $280,000, two assault rifles, two handguns and three cars and taken three people into custody after executing three search warrants on Thursday, May 2. The first search yielded four pounds of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. They also seized a 2012 Infinity at the residence and arrested 28-year-old Billy Fang of Storm Lake. He has been charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, two counts of trafficking stolen weapons and a host of other drug-related charges. Later that afternoon, another half a pound of suspected crystal meth, 70 pounds of marijuana and 50 grams of mushrooms along with the two handguns and two assault rifles and a 2004 Infinity were seized. Two of the guns had been reported stolen in other states. A third search warrant yielded even more methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia and led to the arrest of 37-year-old Meng Her. While at that scene, a male wanted in connection with the case, 34-year-old Marvin Moau of Storm Lake, was seen driving by the residence. He was stopped and taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, two counts of trafficking stolen weapons and other drug-related charges. The 2008 BMW he was driving was also seized. Fang and Moua are both being held in the Buena Vista County jail on $100,000 bonds and Her on a $1,300 bond. The Storm Lake K-9 Unit, The Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement and the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s SERT Team assisted in the investigation.
