The Audubon Public Library will be hosting a special guest who will discuss human slavery in an upcoming presentation. On Monday, Jan. 21, Kevin Schwendinger will lead attendees through an historical look at labor and sex trafficking as well as ecocide, the willful destruction of the natural environment and its long-term effects. The Webster City native bicycled across Iowa and into Wisconsin last September to raise awareness about human trafficking. During the 500-mile trip, he distributed about 25 pounds of educational materials to shine a light on how common this issue has become. Schwendinger’s presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.
