Scranton Teenager Not Seriously Injured, But Cited Following Friday Rollover Accident

A Scranton teenager was cited following a rollover accident on Friday morning. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on 240th Street near E Avenue, southwest of Scranton, at approximately 7:27 a.m. Upon arrival, they found that a 16-year-old male had lost control of a Pontiac Grand Prix, rolling the vehicle over onto its top in the south ditch. The driver was not transported by emergency medical personnel for treatment of injuries, but was issued citations for violation of a school permit and failure to maintain control. There was an estimated $3,500 in damage to the vehicle. The Scranton Fire Department and Greene County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
