The Iowa Arts Council is reminding Iowans the deadlines for an art-related scholarship and a fellowship are less than a month away. The Iowa Scholarship for the Arts is open to high school seniors interested in pursuing an education in the field. Applicants must plan to attend college in Iowa and major in the fine arts. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 1. The Iowa Artist Fellowship Program is also accepting applications at this time. If accepted, artists would receive a $10,000 grant and professional development to help them advance their careers. There are two rounds to the application, with the deadline for the first falling on Friday, March 15. Qualifiers for the second round will be required to complete an additional application, and that will be due on Wednesday, May 1.
