The annual Chautauqua Days festival is this week in Sac City, and organizers have four busy days planned for attendees to enjoy. Chamber of Commerce President, Lance Wilhelm, says the yearly celebration has been a highlight of the summer for area residents for decades.
Chautauqua Days begins on the Fourth of July holiday this year and continues through the weekend. Opening day on Thursday is filled with activities for the whole family, including children’s games, live entertainment and much more in Chautauqua Park and throughout town. Wilhelm says each day has something fun to do, such as Scoop the Loop on Friday night or the color run Saturday morning, but if there is one thing you do not want to miss, it is the chuckwagon races on Saturday at the fairgrounds.
Wilhelm says they have added some new events to the schedule this year to keep things fresh.
