In a plan that calls for curbing the use of fossil fuels and a heavy investment in renewable energy sources, Democratic Presidential hopeful, Cory Booker, announced Tuesday he is promising a 100 percent clean energy economy by 2045. Booker says the $3 trillion plan will also generate millions of jobs and the guaranteed right to clean air, water and soil for all Americans. Ahead of Booker’s appearance on tonight’s (Wednesday’s) CNN Climate Town Hall, he will be hosting more than a dozen virtual climate conversations with Iowans across the state. Team Cory 2020 and other supporters in Carroll County will hold the local conversation at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Pizza Ranch restaurant on U.S. Highway 30 West in Carroll.
