A Paton man is in custody for an operating while intoxicated charge after authorities respond to a possible burglary. Early this (Tuesday) morning, at approximately 12:54 a.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into the report from the 900 block of Sand Street in Churdan. The deputy located a vehicle that fit the description of the one reported by the resident. As a result, 43-year-old Shane Jewett was arrested and booked into the Greene County Law Enforcement Center on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. It is unclear yet if any other charges will be filed in this case.
