Over $12,000 In Damages From Two-Vehicle Accident Wednesday

There were no injuries reported but over $12,000 in damages in a two-vehicle accident northeast of Breda Wednesday evening. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kittyhawk Avenue and 100th Street at approximately 5:10 p.m. The initial investigation revealed that 21-year-old Coltan Dale Lesle of Manning was southbound on Kittyhawk in a 2006 Pontiac Grand Am. A 2018 Ford Explorer, driven by 58-year-old Russel Wilbur Ludwig of Breda, was eastbound on 100th Street at the same time. The vehicles met at the intersection, the front passenger side of the Ludwig SUV colliding with the passenger rear of the Lesle car, causing it to do a 180-degree spin before coming to rest. There was an estimated $4,500 in damage to the Grand Am and $8,000 in damage to the Explorer. Lesle was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
