Only Minor Injuries Reported After Car Goes Through Garage Door And Is Pinned Under A Vehicle Lift Friday Morning

Three people are extremely lucky to have escaped serious injuries after a vehicle was pinned under an automotive lift at Region XII Council of Governments’ building Friday morning. Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, says his officers, firefighters and Emergency Medical Services personnel all responded to 1009 East Anthony St. at approximately 7:54 a.m.

One side of the car took the brunt of the impact.

The Carroll Fire Department was able to stabilize the lift to get the driver and passenger out. Brown was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The witness, who had been standing by the overhead door before the car went through it, was knocked out of the way and did not suffer any injuries requiring medical treatment. Burke says there is no dollar estimate as of yet on the damages done, but the garage door, the lift and the Chrysler are all deemed a total loss.
