One Of Iowa’s Most Popular Winter Activities Will Also Include A Special Enforcement From Local And State Authorities

Officials in northwest Iowa will be getting an assist from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at this weekend’s 39th Annual University of Okoboji Winter Games. Conservation officers will partner with troopers from the Iowa State Patrol and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office for the special enforcement action. Between Jan. 24 and Jan. 27, officers will be focusing on seatbelt usage, impaired driving—this includes operation of ATVs and snowmobiles, distractions and excessive speed. These law enforcement officials remind participants and spectators at the Winter Games to obey all laws and celebrate responsibly.
