Nominations Now Open For 2019 Iowa Latino Hall Of Fame

The Iowa Commission of Latino Affairs is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Iowa Latino Hall of Fame. Each year, the Commission inducts up to five individuals into the Hall of Fame: three Latinos, a recipient of the Iowa Latinx Youth Leadership Award and a recipient of the Robert D. Ray Award for Equality and Justice. The Iowa Latino Hall of Fame was established in 2017 to honor and celebrate Latino heritage and individuals who have made significant cultural, political, social or economic contributions to the state. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, July 1. Awards will be presented at the Iowa Latino Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony later this year during Latino Heritage Month.
