Carroll authorities report there were no injuries in a second accident Monday afternoon. Officers were called to the scene in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 30 West at approximately 4:58 p.m. to find 25-year-old Bailey Shepherd of Dedham was westbound in the outside lane, driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala and attempting to negotiate a turn into a parking lot near Crawford Street. At the same time, a 1993 Peterbilt semi-tractor trailer, driven by 23-year-old Tyler Taplin of Sabula, was also westbound and attempted to change lanes, striking the Shepherd vehicle. There was functional damage done to both the car and semi and Taplin was cited for an improper lane change.
