The Carroll Police Department reports they responded to a pair of two-vehicle accidents yesterday (Monday). Officers were dispatched to the scene of the first accident at approximately 8:34 a.m. at the intersection of 30th Street and Grant Road. A 2013 Dodge Avenger, driven by 18-year-old Mason Heuton of Halbur, was traveling eastbound on 30th and had stopped for traffic at the posted stop sign. A 2006 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 17-year-old Jacob Tunning of Halbur, was also traveling eastbound and failed to stop for traffic, colliding with the rear of the Heuton vehicle. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles did incur functional damages. Tunning was cited for failure to maintain control. The second accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Quint Avenue at approximately 4:47 p.m. According to authorities, 29-year-old Sarah Klever of Fort Dodge was traveling westbound on 30 in a 2016 Dodge Durango. At the same time, a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 20-year-old Bailey Thompson of Manning, was also traveling westbound and attempted to change lanes.
