No injuries were reported but both vehicles suffered functional damage in a Carroll accident Monday morning. The Carroll Police Department responded to the intersection of First and East Streets at approximately 8:05 a.m. Fourteen-year-old Sada Gehling of Carroll was westbound on First Street in a 2012 Ford Focus and 63-year-old John Grossman, also of Carroll, was facing southbound in a 2014 Toyota Avalon on East Street, stopped at the posted sign. Grossman told authorities the sun was so bright he was unable to see the Gehling car and he proceeded into the intersection where the vehicles collided. Grossman was cited for failure to maintain control.
