The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at the Carroll campus of Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is hosting the next installment in the We Include series next week. On Wednesday, Oct. 23, from noon to 1 p.m., a panel discussion on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, plus (LGBTQ+) inclusivity will be held in rooms 142 through 146. The panel includes DMACC faculty members, professor of psychology and human services, Mindy Graham-Hinners, PhD, and associate professor of English and history, Bethany Sweeney, PhD. DMACC students, Garrett Shirbroun and Taylor Sturm, will help lead the discussion. They will welcome community member, Jonathon Pogge-Weaver, who is an assistant branch manager at Bank of the West, to join them on the panel. A light lunch will be available for attendees.
