New Carroll Indoor Shooting Range Has Features To Assist With Local Law Enforcement Training

The recently completed indoor shooting range in the new Wendl’s Weapons building on east Highway 30 in Carroll has been designed to incorporate features conducive to specialized training for area law enforcement agencies. Carroll Chief of Police, Brad Burke, says his team was able to not only complete their regular firearms training, but to also utilize the site for low-light qualifications and service training. He says both of these are required by the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) one time per year, along with that regular training four times per year. The indoor range allows for an ease in manipulation of the environment that provides the exact settings necessary for specialized training exercises.
