Manning Woman Formally Charged With Child Endangerment After Authorities Find Meth-Coated Mirrors In Home

Carroll County prosecutors have brought formal charges against a Manning woman who was found to have broken, drug-coated mirrors on the floor of her home. Trial information was filed Tuesday in District Court for Carroll County against 21-year-old Cassidy Jean Hale. She faces one count of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor. The charges stem from a search warrant executed by the Manning Police Department on Jan. 30 in the 200 block of 3rd Street. Authorities say Hale intentionally placed her three-year-old daughter in danger by leaving broken mirrors on the floor with methamphetamine on the glass. An arraignment hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, May 9 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If found guilty of the charges, she faces up to two years in prison and $8,125 in fines. Hale has another drug case pending in Carroll County District Court. She is charged with a controlled substance violation, a class D felony, related to the Jan 30 search warrant.
