Manning Woman Formally Charged Wednesday With Felony Drug Trafficking

Trial information was filed today (Wednesday) in District Court for Carroll County, which formally charges a Manning woman with felony drug trafficking. Twenty-year-old Cassidy Jean Hale was arrested on Jan. 30 for a controlled substance violation after a search warrant was executed by the Manning Police Department at her home in the 200 block of 3rd Street in Manning. 30. During their search, authorities located less than 50 kilograms of marijuana, a scale and packaging materials for sales. Hale pled not guilty to possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a class D felony, at an initial appearance on Jan. 31 and is scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing on Feb. 28. If found guilty of the charge, she faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and $7,500 in fines.
